(sor-AH-nee) – “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37 ESV). Some believers have been overwhelmingly reminded of this truth in recent days as they have continued to try to share the gospel with Sorani Kurds. Through social media, they are seeking out those who are interested in learning more about the good news. What they have discovered is that many people in the region are tired of what they’ve been taught all their lives and are searching for the truth about God. However, cultural and familial pressures are keeping these seekers from taking their search past the security of their digital screens. Pray for the many Sorani Kurds who are seeking truth amid fear. Pray that the Father will grant them boldness and a conviction to count the cost, seek wholeheartedly, and find the way, the truth, and the life.
