Sub-Saharan African Peoples

Faith, a Congolese partner serving for many years in the city of Bunia and nearby refugee camps in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, continues to lead a weekly Kids Bible Club during the Ebola outbreak while ministering among families living in extremely crowded conditions with limited access to soap, disinfectant, and clean water. She reports that fear is widespread as illness claims multiple members within families. Faith asks for prayer. Pray for protection over the health of local church leaders as they travel by motorcycle taxi for God’s work. Pray that God will protect the children in the camps. Pray for the families of those providing aid in every field — medical personnel, transportation workers, and those helping to calm fears — asking that the Lord will support them and spare them from death during this epidemic. Pray that as believers minister, they will boldly share their hope in Christ, and pray that many people will turn to Him in this time of desperation.
