(TAH-jeeks) – Christmas is not a holiday recognized by Central Asian countries or peoples. They believe that Jesus was a prophet and nothing more. As Christmas approaches, ask for opportunities to share with Tajiks of every age the incredible good news of the birth of Christ! Pray for specific opportunities to share the Christmas story in homes, bridging into the gospel and its utmost importance. Ask for many to listen and understand the hope they can have in Christ. Tajikistan can be a weary and often dark place. Like it says in the familiar hymn, “O Holy Night,” may it be so that “the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!” Ask for many Tajiks to “fall on [their] knees” and confess that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord!
