A professor at Cape Town Baptist Seminary (CTBS) recently shared the following: “At the conclusion of class, a student expressed to his classmates a concern for his family’s financial situation. A new baby and childcare, along with some medical circumstances, weighed heavy on his mind as he considered if he could continue studying. Stressing his confident call of God on his life, he declared his faith in the Lord’s promise to provide as he pledged to give it to God in prayer. We prayed for him over the next week and a half that the Lord would supply his every need. During a chapel service at the end of that term, he stood to boast of God’s faithfulness in providing his entire expense for this school year.” The professor stated that this student is like many who struggle to make ends meet while being devoted to seminary training as well as family and work schedules. Pray for students to deepen their adherence to the God who called them into this stewardship of the gospel in addition to families and jobs. Ask Him to provide for their tuition to completion. “He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24 ESV).
