In July, the continental meeting of the Africa Baptist Theological Education Network (ABTEN) will occur in Kenya. During this week of meetings and conferences, the educators will discuss biblical doctrine. Please pray for the large number of people from Cape Town and elsewhere who will travel to the ABTEN meeting, and ask God to get them safely to and from this event. Also ask Him to protect them from any evil that might attempt to disrupt the meeting. Give thanks to God that this group of people have the possibility of being together for encouragement, learning from one another, having discussions about ideas that are trying to syncretize into Baptist biblical doctrines, and prayer. Thank Him that ABTEN began as an organization a couple of years ago for Baptist theological educators to glean from and help each other! “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2 ESV).
