Thank you for praying in February as ministers in the Baptist Convention of Angola and theological education teachers met together. About 100 people attended the conference. Ministers learned more from the Bible about how theological education is crucial for doctrinally sound ministers and ministries. God uplifted the people who attended the conference by inspiring the guest speakers, International Mission Board missionaries from across Africa. Encouragement, enlightenment, and education happened. Camaraderie and laughter occurred. Conversations happened over meals during the two-day conference. Give thanks to God that a multitude of conference attendees departed with a recognition of the country’s need for solid biblical theology! Pray that these individuals will take action to bolster Angola’s Bible colleges and seminaries. Ask God to help them not to waver in this endeavor and to continue to grow in the knowledge and love of God. “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV).
