Daniel Park joined the Theological Education Team in September 2024 to teach at Cape Town Baptist Seminary. Known very well as an evangelizer, he came to teach the Evangelism class at the seminary for the next two years. Five weeks into the semester, Daniel spoke to John, a man sitting by the seminary gate. He asked John if he would come to his class that night. Neither the students nor John knew what would unfold. Upon entering the classroom, Daniel told Moses, a student, to witness to John. Surprise registered on their faces. The next week, Daniel asked John to return to class. He asked John what had happened after Moses witnessed to him. John said that during the week, he believed in Jesus as his Savior. A man sunken deep in a cycle of poverty and sin trusted the Lord Jesus. John’s life and heart had made him as numb as stone; he seemed hardened and beyond reaching. But Light had come into his heart and soul. The students celebrated. Everyone’s spirits lifted. Praise God, a new brother in Christ has been born! “[Jesus] answered, ‘I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out'” (Luke 19:40 ESV).
