Theological Education in Uganda

Missionaries serving in Jinja, Uganda, recently celebrated a team member’s completion of her master’s degree in biblical counseling from a seminary in the United States. “She celebrated with friends and colleagues in Jinja with a cake, sweet music, and the iconic, slow-moving shuffle dance-walk. We are thankful for her hard work to complete this piece of equipping for ministry in Uganda and glad to help her celebrate locally while she misses the ‘pomp and circumstance’ of walking the graduation stage in the U.S. Two missionary families are also celebrating their eldest children’s graduating with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the U.S. International missions and ministry go on while families celebrate things near and far, although it often involves a lot more planning to celebrate together or with added effort to stay connected through technology from afar. We are so thankful for ways to stay connected even though we live a continent away! Please pray for families’ ties to stay anchored in Christ, for distances to be bridged in creative ways, and for missionary families to continue staying closely bonded together despite physical distance.”
