Uighurs of Post-Soviet Central Asia

(WEE-ghurs) – “Nafama” has a large farming community. Some of the best farming land is in and around that village. While there’s much “growing” happening, there isn’t much spiritual growth. In the past, some believers lived there, planting gospel seeds. Pray that the seeds that fell on fertile soil will take root and begin to grow. The people of “Nafama” are very wily and have a tendency to mislead others, especially financially. Ask God to convict them of their deceptive practices. Relational infidelity has also been a huge problem there. Pray that what God brings together will be held sacred. Many streams and a river flow through the village, and there are many willow and cottonwood trees growing beside the streams. Thank the Father for the beauty of that place! May the villagers see Him in His beautiful creation. “He also took from the seed of the land and planted it in fertile soil, a meadow beside abundant waters; he set it like a willow. Then it sprouted and became a low, spreading vine with its branches turned toward him, but its roots remained under it. So it became a vine and produced shoots and sent out branches” (Ezekiel 17:5-6 NASB).
