(WAH-soo-loo) – The Wassulu workers support four young men as they study at a small pastors’ training school in Mali that provides basic preparation for serving as a village pastor. When their studies are completed, they will go to assigned villages among the Wassulu as pastors who are being mentored by Wassulu workers as well as seasoned indigenous pastors with whom the workers partner. The school’s academic calendar is designed around the cultural need of these men to be in their home villages during the growing and harvesting seasons; some students may also have other trades that help support themselves or their families. The 2025-26 academic year will close out at the end of April, and these students will close out their studies. Pray that these young men will finish this term well, grow in their desire to learn the Word of God well, and later pastor according to sound biblical teaching. Ask the Lord to continue to protect the school, its leaders, and its students from harm as the terrorists’ movements and attacks have spread into a broader geographic area of the nation.
