(WAH-soo-loo) – As in many past years near Father’s Day in the United States, Wassulu workers ask you to pray for the Wassulu men. This appeal to pray extends to both the minority who are followers of Christ and the majority who still embrace Islam and often traditional religious practices. The patriarchal system among the Wassulu and the vast majority of other West African people groups means that every area of life is impacted by what the eldest man, in particular, believes and how he views the world. On behalf of the followers of Christ among the Wassulu men, pray for spiritual faithfulness, strength, and steadfastness. May their lives be a testimony for Jesus among their families and people. For the remaining 99.9% of the Wassulu men, pray that they will drawn by the Holy Spirit to the gospel and that there will be a great spiritual awakening among them!
