West Africans in Paris, France

“‘La Fête de la Musique’ is an annual music celebration in France that takes place on June 21. It was initiated by the French Minister of Culture in 1982 and, today, is celebrated on five continents. Here in France, it brings together nearly 10 million spectators who welcome the start of summer with music in the streets, cafes, and more. This ‘party of music’ celebrates music in all its diversity and brings people together throughout the country, in both big cities and small towns, to enjoy a day of listening to free music. This is also an excellent opportunity for churches to share the message and hope of Christ with their community through singing in this festival, since gospel music is popular and often well received. Please pray for the many churches in the Paris area who need to receive permission from their local authorities to participate, and pray that gospel music with a clear message will be sung in festivals across the country.”
