To the Ends of the Earth
“From Jerusalem, to Judea, to Samaria, to the ends of the earth…” There’s no place the gospel won’t go. It is limitless. It moves from person to person, from city to city, from nation to nation. The gospel goes where disciples of Jesus carry it. We are all called, and our call is to the ends of the earth.
Missionary teams make disciples and plant churches among all peoples for the glory of God.
A note from John Brady, vice president of global engagement
It’s a big, messed up world out there, but that’s never stopped Christians from planting their lives in difficult places and among peoples for the glory of God.
Church planting teams in Global Engagement know there will be a day when people from all over the world, speaking thousands of different languages, will unite in praise of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We haven’t been given a timetable, but we have been given time. So in the days we have, we are to make disciples and multiply churches.
Just how we do this will look very different around the world. In some places, we focus on developing church leaders through mentoring, local training, and theological education. In other places, our teams work daily to see the first believer and eventually the first church established among a people group. Some places are still waiting for teams to arrive. Maybe you’ll be among those sent to an unreached unengaged people.
Take some time to explore how others are being obedient to the call to make disciples among all peoples. And it doesn’t hurt to ask: “What am I going to do with the time I’ve been given?”
What will you do with the time you’ve been given?
