5 Misunderstandings About the Deaf

With over 300 unique sign languages worldwide, the global Deaf community remains one of the most unreached people groups on earth. Because sign language is highly visual and has a different syntax than written text, a printed Bible can feel like a foreign language. To establish gospel access, IMB missionaries must actively seek out Deaf communities in cities and schools, communicating the gospel in their heart language. Less than 2% of Deaf people know Jesus.
