Nomad Boy

A Tamashek boy stands across from his school at the edge of his house, fenced by sharp branches to keep the animals in. The Tamashek, also known as the Taureg, have traditionally lived nomadic lives on the edge of the Sahara desert. However, repeated drought over recent years has caused their herds to die off, leaving them forced into urban centers to find work.
