Buddha’s Eyes

Boudhanath stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal, is thought to be the largest stupa in the world. The eyes on the Tibetan Buddhist landmark are known as ‘Buddha’s Eyes.’ The eyes are painted on all four sides, symbolizing omniscience.

This photo was taken prior to the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal.
