Refugee Camp from Above

Zone #1 (of five) in Bidibidi Settlement in northwestern Uganda. Just a couple years ago, this entire area was mostly unsettled wilderness but now hosts over 250K refugees, making it the largest refugee camp in world. Unlike most nations’ refugee relief efforts, the Uganda government welcomes all refugees, registers them and gives them plots of land to build upon and farm.
