Ruins in Ephesus

A vast amount of ancient ruins lay scattered and have been somewhat reconstructed to make it easier to envision what the city must have looked like. It used to be a one of the greatest sea-ports of the ancient world, sitting on the Aegean Sea. Due to silt buildup, it’s now about 5 miles from the coast.
