Monks go about their daily duties inside a Tibetan monastery. Some parents send their sons to live in monasteries if they cannot provide for them. Monasteries often provide education and meals. Some boys remain for the entirety of their childhood, some for only a few years. Monasteries are often cloistered away from the hustle and bustle of cities.
