The price of metal varies from pennies on the dollar to nearing $15 per pound. Salt and Light Church elder Dave Joslin had the novel idea to collect scrap metal for his church’s Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. After nearly a decade of collecting and becoming playfully known around town as the “Tin Man,” the 80-year-old is passing the proverbial torch of the metal collecting to his younger counterparts in the congregation.
