The Mevlana Museum and mosque. The museum is dedicated to Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi. Konya is the birthday place of Sufism and the Whirling Dervishes. In 1273 followers of the recently deceased Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi established the Sufi order of the Whirling Dervishes in the city of Konya.
