About This Project
Political upheaval has presented an unprecedented opportunity to serve the physical and spiritual needs of the people of Syria. The crisis in Syria has opened doors for many Syrians to hear the gospel for the first time. Field personnel want to continue to respond to the tremendous needs of Syrians, living both inside Syria and in other countries. The needs can seem overwhelming, but the opportunities for ministry are unparalleled.
After the earthquakes on the Syrian/Turkish border, we now have even more opportunities to reach out and help those impacted by this natural disaster by bringing both much needed relief and the good news of the gospel to those who have lost everything.
Your gift will impact thousands of Syrians with God’s love and access to the good news. They see the gospel lived out when believers share the tangible love of Christ by meeting some of their most desperate needs.
Partner today with the Syrian Crisis Response projects to change the lives of hurting Syrian families through the grace and provision of God’s people.
Why direct giving matters
Giving directly to a missionary team helps fund the specific, on-the-ground needs your missionaries care deeply about—needs that aren't covered by CP and LMCO alone.
Amira* and Malika* have begun reading the Bible together as Malika seeks to introduce her new friend to Jesus. When Amira arrived at the crisis center a couple of weeks ago, Malika saw that the refugee, serving as nanny and housekeeper to another family, looked tired and broken. Amira shared her story of pain and tragedy as the two women talked. Amid tears and sadness, Malika told her about the loving Savior. Amira wants to learn more about Jesus, so they have started meeting together regularly to study Scripture. Your generosity to this project made it possible for Amira and Malika to meet and for Amira to hear the gospel.
The crisis center helps displaced peoples from many nations because it is located in an area where many refugees live. Our team is in the process of opening a second community center designed to serve families. In addition, we plan to begin a first aid program that will open doors for us to visit many homes in this community and allow us to deepen our connections with those who live here.
Your faithful giving and steadfast prayers enable us to provide refugees like Amira with humanitarian aid and the hope of Jesus. Thank you for joining us in showing refugees from Syria and other countries the love Christ offers to all.
Please continue partnering with us in prayer:
Pray for Amira to understand salvation and God’s plan for her as she reads Scripture. We are so thankful for the prayers and gifts of people like you. You co-labor with us through your faithfulness, and we value your partnership in reaching the lost.

Thank you so much for your generosity to this ministry and the Syrian people God calls us to reach. Your prayers and sacrificial giving deliver God’s love and access to the good news to thousands of Syrians. They see the gospel lived out when believers share the tangible love of Christ by meeting some of their most desperate needs.
Opportunities abound. As time has passed, the conditions of the Syrian people continue to worsen. The cost of everything has risen so high that many cannot buy necessities for their families. In addition, there are shortages of fuel and utilities such as gas, electricity, and water.
With this challenging situation inside Syria, your gifts significantly impact the lives of many families, as they ease their burdens and give opportunities for many to hear Truth. God is working in Syria and using their suffering to call Syrians to His Kingdom. He is working not just in the lives of those receiving the aid but in the volunteers helping to distribute it.
Kadeem* is from a Muslim background. He began volunteering at our children’s program. Kadeem says that through volunteering, he felt loved and cared for in a way he had never experienced. He started to ask questions and wonder why those around him loved him differently. Kadeem has started attending a prayer group where he is learning about who God is. He recently said, “Thank God for His presence in my life. I know He is always with me and my family.”
We are so thankful for you, our partners, who make this project possible. Thank you for continuing to give towards the work with Syrians. Because of your giving, people like Kadeem are hearing and responding to Truth. Your sacrificial gifts and intercession are truly transforming lives as we partner together to solve the world’s greatest problem, lostness.

Greetings from the Syrian Crisis Response team!
The country of Syria has experienced years of conflict and difficulties without any hope of recovery. Over the years, millions of Syrians fled to Turkey as refugees seeking safety. Recently, devastating earthquakes hit near the border of Turkey and Syria. The earthquakes and resulting aftershocks killed thousands, and even more were left without homes amid a dangerous winter.
Our teams are currently assessing how to serve those affected by this natural disaster, getting them the care they need in partnership with local churches. With your help, we will be able to provide much-needed aid to those who have lost everything. Through your generosity, the good news of the gospel will reach the ears of those who have no hope in their time of desperation.
Thank you so much for your generosity and partnership in this project! Your prayers and gifts are truly transforming lives and bringing hope to people in desperate need. Please prayerfully consider making another gift to support this ministry in 2023, so we can continue helping Syrian immigrants seeking the hope only Christ brings.
Providing medical care, mental health programs, food bags, and education for displaced children has significantly impacted the individuals affected by the ongoing conflicts and difficulties in Syria, Iraq, and surrounding countries. These relief efforts have given individuals who haven’t been able to return to their homes for years a renewed sense of dignity and purpose that was abruptly snatched during violent conflicts and displacements. Thank you for your generosity in providing these items for so many who are hurting and vulnerable. Though we wish these atrocities had not happened, many desperate Syrians are now open to hearing about the love of a God who provides for them this way.

God is using your faithfulness to open more doors for the gospel. We have gained access to new communities through the food, medical, and mobility equipment distributions. Additionally, community leaders have expressed a desire for mental health programs, children’s education, and community development projects to improve their people’s livelihoods. These projects meet the people’s short-and-long-term needs and allow us into the surrounding communities. The relationships we have established give us the freedom to share the gospel and begin discipling those interested in knowing more or who have put their faith in Christ.
Thank you for coming alongside us in this work. Your prayers and gifts are truly impacting lives, and we ask you prayerfully to consider making another gift so the work can continue to bear fruit. We’re glad you are part of our global team!

Many people in the Bible were doing ordinary, everyday things when God called them to serve Him in a special way. Is God calling you? Could He be leading you to serve Him among the peoples of Northern Africa and the Middle East? View the video.
In the next five years, a globalization goal of all IMB workers is to mobilize 500 local believers to become global missionary partners serving on IMB teams.
