About This Project
For eight years, the conflict in Yemen has raged without a long-term solution in sight. Though it is currently considered the worst humanitarian disaster in the world, it is a “forgotten” war that has slipped off the newsfeed and out of minds worldwide, to the harsh detriment of millions of Yemeni people who daily face hunger, lack of medical care, disease, destruction, and trauma as effects of unceasing civil war.The greatest tragedy is that most Yemenis have never heard the gospel. Fewer than .01% of Yemenis follow Jesus. The civil war in Yemen has caused Yemenis to question their faith and intensely seek new answers. You can be a part of God’s plan to meet both types of suffering—physical and spiritual. A team of long-term workers is seeking to establish a new point of direct engagement. Partner with them in this new phase of response to the humanitarian disaster!Your gift will provide opportunities to meet physical needs and enable face-to-face seed-sowing, discipleship, and leadership development in the growing Yemeni church.Though the world seems to have forgotten their distress, the Lord has not forgotten the Yemeni people. He has equipped His church to minister in the power of His name and has promised never to leave or forsake them. Join Him in this work! He will bring the beauty of eternal life to Yemenis out of the ashes of war.
Why direct giving matters
Giving directly to a missionary team helps fund the specific, on-the-ground needs your missionaries care deeply about—needs that aren't covered by CP and LMCO alone.
Because of your generosity, our sister Nour* received specialized training to care for her special needs son, who is 13 and is finally receiving the help he needs. These are just a few ways you co-labor with our team to address one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history. With fewer than 0.01% of Yemenis following Jesus, your faithful intercession and sacrificial giving shine the Light of the World into one of the darkest places on earth.
As we share your gifts with your brothers and sisters in Yemen, the comment we often hear is, “Thank you for the labor of love you and others have given to help us.” We sincerely appreciate your commitment to being the hands and feet of Jesus to those in Yemen.
Please continue partnering with us in prayer:
Pray for Yemeni believers who struggle with the uncertainty created by the civil war; pray that their steadfastness is a testimony to others of God’s faithfulness and grace. You make a difference in the lives of Yemenis trying to find normalcy amid the chaos of an ongoing civil war. You bring hope, healing, and comfort to people like Nour and Amal. Thank you for your sacrificial gifts and faithful prayers, which genuinely matter!

Thank you for faithfully giving to and praying for this ministry and the Yemeni people enduring the decade-long civil war in their country. Because of your generous giving and faithful prayers, the Yemen Crisis Response ministry has helped thousands of Yemenis in the grip of the longest-running civil war in the country’s history.
Thank you for impacting lives. During the last eight years, you have helped us raise $592,840, enabling us to provide food, medicine, shelter, and various types of training to Yemeni families. Amid the trauma and tragedy of war, these ministries have given long-term workers and local partners opportunities to demonstrate and speak about the love of Christ and to disciple and train Yemeni believers in various ways. Your faithfulness and obedience to give as God directs your heart have made an irreplaceable impact on the lives of many. Thank you! Your praying and giving are making a significant difference.
We are so thankful for you, our partners, who make this project possible.

This year the ministry is entering a new phase that hopes to be more in-person than in past years. To undertake this ministry for the next three years, a new goal of $360,000 has been set. Please prayerfully consider making a gift to the Yemen Crisis Response to bring help and the hope of Jesus Christ to Yemenis who desperately need hope for the future. https://www.imb.org/give/project/yemen-crisis-response/
Thank you for your faithful intercession and sacrificial giving on behalf of our team and the Yemeni people God calls us to reach. With your support, we provide the basic needs of Yemeni families.
Because of Your Gifts, we continue to provide for the basic needs of Yemeni believers and many others in Yemen. God is using your partnership and generosity to bless our brothers and sisters and to further His kingdom.
Opportunities Abound. Though difficult to imagine, Yemen will shortly pass the nine-year mark in the war that has left three out of four Yemeni people needing humanitarian aid. There have been attempts at a peace agreement and even a successful six-month ceasefire, but there is not much hope for a long-term solution. Yemenis have severe difficulty finding jobs and providing for their basic needs. Most humanitarian organizations have cut their budgets and scaled back the amount of aid they provide because of the longevity of the crisis.
Yemeni Gratitude. The situation creates many challenges as Yemeni believers seek to make disciples among a traumatized population and struggle to care for their own families, too. Because of this, your giving has an even more significant impact on their lives and ministry here and greatly encourages the church in Yemen. As you read this, Yemeni people are hearing the gospel for the first time, some choosing to follow Christ, and many walking in discipleship. We praise God for the privilege to be a part of what He is doing, and we thank Him for your partnership in the gospel.

Many people in the Bible were doing ordinary, everyday things when God called them to serve Him in a special way. Is God calling you? Could He be leading you to serve Him among the peoples of Northern Africa and the Middle East? View the video.
