IMB missionary, Travis Burkhalter, baptized Sarah, the first known follower of Christ among her tribe. Sarah is part of an indigenous people group, some of whom live in the city of Medellín, Colombia. Many live in poverty, having fled from violence in their home regions outside of the city.
Travis and his wife Beth have been living alongside this group for years, sharing the gospel and helping them establish a business making beaded jewelry that provides for their daily needs. Despite a significant language barrier, God is revealing His love to them through the missionaries’ presence. Your precious gifts and prayers made this possible!
