With the rise of an economic crisis in the North African country of Tunisia, many young Tunisians are moving to Europe for education and work. Germany is one of many European countries opening up work opportunities for Tunisians and inviting them to contribute to the country’s infrastructure. About 45,000 Tunisian Arabs live in Germany, and they are unengaged and unreached with the gospel of Jesus. Although they usually identify as Muslim because of their home culture and country, they are open to new ideas and cultural norms. Pray that the Tunisian Arabs in Germany will open their minds and hearts to the Bible and Jesus. As they arrive in Germany for jobs and better economic opportunities, pray that they will trust God and see that He is the one providing for all their needs. Ask that they will believe that Jesus is “the bread of life” (John 6:35 ESV) and that He is the only one who can satisfy and fulfill their spiritual hunger and physical needs. Pray that local believers will desire to connect with Tunisian Arabs and help them to find community and hope in Christ.
