Missionary Task
IMB missionaries are engaged in six components of the missionary task: entry, evangelism, discipleship, healthy church formation, leadership development, and exit to partnership. Because prayer and abiding in Christ are central to our strategy, they are not separate components of the task, but rather essential elements in every part.
Biblical Basis
We draw inspiration from his journeys, teaching, and commitment to spreading the gospel across diverse cultures and regions. This biblical foundation ensures that our work aligns with scriptural teachings and principles.
GREATER IMPACT
Our world constantly changes, but our mission to reach the nations with the gospel does not. The missionary task helps us adapt to new challenges and opportunities, including digital outreach, cross-cultural partnerships, and addressing social issues.
IMB’s missionary task is foundational to our pursuit of the Revelation 7:9 vision. But God didn’t give His commands to a select few. He gave His commands to the Church—to all believers.
