(ben-GAH-lee) – Irene, a local harvest worker, and her new co-laborer, Timothy, met with one of his “jamaats” (house churches) that consists of newly baptized Muslim-background believers. The new believers need to know how to celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Irene told Timothy that he can start teaching them the “10 commands” (basic discipleship plan). He has learned the basics from someone who taught him in the past, but he doesn’t know how to teach it effectively. Irene has made plans to go to his “jamaats” as often as possible to model basic discipleship teachings. She knows that in order for Timothy to be effective in the task of carrying out the Great Commission, he needs not only to be taught how to teach, but also to see it modeled effectively. Pray that Timothy can commit to memory a basic discipleship plan so that he will know what the next steps are for believers to take and also teach his leaders to do the same. Pray for Irene as she continues to train new partners to further the kingdom work to go, make disciples, baptize, and teach others to follow Jesus.
