Amir and Zohreh finished a Bible seminar about Christ’s command to make disciples (Matt. 28), and they were strongly convicted that they must be bolder in sharing the gospel, even if it meant persecution. Sitting in a park a few days later, they prayed, “Father, help us not to be afraid of sharing the gospel. Please give us boldness. Please show us those we need to share with.” As they finished the prayer, a man approached them. He said, “I was recently visiting a neighboring country where I received a micro SD containing the Bible. I don’t know where to start reading. I have many questions about Jesus. Do you know anything about Christianity? Can you help me?” Amir and Zohreh smiled at each other and invited the man to sit down.
God is at work among the Persian peoples! According to Operation World, Iran and Afghanistan have the fastest growing evangelical populations in the world. The field is ripe for harvest among Farsi speakers, and the Word of God must be accessible to them. Your gift to the Farsi (Persian) Bible Distribution project will meet two needs: (1) printing Bibles and New Testaments to use in discipleship and evangelism training events and church gatherings, and (2) creating digital Bibles for online distribution campaigns, apps, and micro SD cards. The micro SDs offer the Scripture in print and audio formats, along with other evangelical resources and contact information for users to connect with our follow-up team. The goal is to make Persian disciples who gather to form healthy churches which, in turn, make more disciples and churches.
