DESCRIPTION

Join us in Botswana to gain valuable experience with using play, art, and music therapy to impact the lives of children on the pediatric oncology ward. This involves intentionally investing in and encouraging caregivers and hospital staff. This position integrates ministry, creativity, and compassionate care to support the spiritual and emotional well-being of children and those who walk alongside them.

Other Requirements

  • Residency - An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1.
