DESCRIPTION

Are you excited about cross-cultural gospel ministry among Central Asians living in North America? Do you feel the Father's leading to serve alongside other believers who are working to meet both the practical and spiritual needs in this population? If so, please pray about joining us! We are seeking 2 individuals (a couple or two singles of the same gender) to come to our location to assist in ministry for 4 months in 2026. This will include a multifaceted approach to ministry. One of the big partnerships would be with a settlement center for newcomers and refugees. There, they would help teach an English class and assist with a food ministry for low income families. They would also help with the Central Asian ministry at a local church, and try to build relationships with Central Asians in their community.

Other Requirements

  • Residency - An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1.
