Collection: Week of Prayer 2025 / Week of Prayer 2025 Day 4

IMB missionaries Landon and Megan Williams serve in Santiago, Chile, with their three children, Emory, Penn and Mary Margaret. One of their goals is to mobilize churches in Santiago that have been raised up by past and present generations to reach the least reached places of Chile and the nations with the gospel. Landon and Megan led a team from Santiago to an island region to partner with a Chilean missionary pastor and serve his church of around 40 members. The purpose of their trip also included investigating how they could be a part of reaching neighboring remote islands that do not have churches. A partnering church from Kentucky served alongside the Williams and believers from Santiago, making the team multi-ethnic and international but with a shared vision: taking the gospel to the least reach places in Chile and beyond. Chilean pastor and home missionary Carlos Carrasco, IMB missionary Landon Williams, and Kentucky Baptist pastor Todd Meadows pray for Rodrigo Dörner, a church leader of a Baptist church on a Chilean island. Williams and Carrasco sensed God was moving in Dörner’s life and saw him begin to understand the call and position God placed on his life. Carrasco said raising up national missionaries is of utmost importance for reaching island communities like this one. IMB Photo

IMB missionary Landon Williams and Kentucky Baptist pastor Todd Meadows look over a map with Chilean pastor and home missionary Carlos Carrasco and local church leader Rodrigo Dörner while taking a boat to reach remote islands in Chile. The men explored and prayed about opportunities to reach the harder-to-reach places and forgotten islands with the gospel, so that the people living there can hear the life changing message of Jesus Christ. Chilean pastor and home missionary Carlos Carrasco leads IMB missionary Landon Williams and Kentucky Baptist pastor Todd Meadows through a pasture on a remote Chilean island to visit a family. Carrasco began pastoring a church on the main island in 2022. His vision was to revitalize the congregation and extend the work of the church to surrounding islands. Both Williams and Meadows brought volunteer teams to serve Carrasco’s church through church expansion and improvement projects. Williams led a team of believers from his church in Santiago. Both Williams and Carrasco are passionate about mobilizing the local church. IMB Photo.

Believers on this island are few, but they faithfully gather to meet. Some islands in the area have no known Christians. IMB Photo
