When a missionary first arrives at his or her place of service, some of the most significant local relationships are with the individuals who help with language learning. These Angolans also help with navigating life in a new country and in understanding cultural differences. It’s a special blessing when these individuals are followers of Christ. Give thanks to God for Filemon, Marta, Lea, and Oseas, believing Angolans who are working patiently and tirelessly with three new missionary families who have recently arrived in the capital city of Luanda. Pray for fruitful relationships among these missionaries and Angolan partners. Ask that their interactions will demonstrate Christ’s love in such a way that all men will know that they are His disciples. “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35 ESV).
