Basotho of Lesotho and South Africa

(BAH-soo-too) – Missionaries Jake and Ginger Goss, who serve in Maseru, Lesotho, remind us that the winter months have arrived in that country since it lies in the Southern Hemisphere. “The weather brings cooler temperatures and many hardships. Food becomes more scarce, and heating the homes and securing water is more expensive. During these winter months, we find the physical needs of food and warmth most prominent. Recently, we have been studying the Bible with some Basotho young adults and discussing how the Lord holds authority over all. During these winter challenges, questions are asked, ‘If the Lord has authority over all, then why do the bad things happen?’ Please pray for these challenges, but more importantly, pray that the faith of the ones who know the Lord will stay strong. And pray for the ones who have yet to make a decision to follow Jesus to see that He is worth it. ‘And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:19 ESV).”
