(ben-GAH-lee) – Emily, a local harvest worker, moved to a village where Irene has been doing Muslim-focused trainings. Irene joined with the believers there to help them apply the things she’s been teaching and invited Emily to come along. Normally, when Irene goes out with the believers, they’re shy about approaching strangers, especially Muslims. However, Emily led the way eagerly into a tailor shop. They talked to a Muslim man as he was tailoring clothes. Emily and the man found a lot of common ground on religion. Irene knew that he needed to understand why Jesus is different, so she shared the gospel through unique stories about Jesus. The man responded with similarities that Muhammad has with Jesus. However, when they got to the resurrection, the man finally admitted that Jesus’ resurrection was completely unique. Pray that more believers will have the boldness that Emily has to get the gospel to Muslims who have little to no access to the gospel. Pray for Muslims who hear the gospel, asking that the eyes of their hearts will be enlightened by the Spirit (Ephesians 1:17-20) so they can experience hope and resurrection through Christ. Pray for Irene as she faithfully trains believers to share their faith.
