“I came from a Muslim family. I never thought I would be in God’s kingdom,” Pastor Timothy shared with the Hall of Tyrannus students. He was encouraging them to serve by God’s grace alone in the places they’ve been given responsibility. “After I came to faith, I wanted to serve but I had a bad eye. The seminary guidelines expected students to be without physical defect. I withdrew my application initially, but then God made a way for me to attend.” Pastor Timothy has since become a national leader in the Baptist Convention, pastored for over thirty-five years, and now teaches at the Hall of Tyrannus Bible Institute. “This place is simple and amazing. Everywhere I go, I tell about Tyrannus Institute.” The men and women from the institute share God’s Word and four of the men have become pastors. Many are involved in village church plants in an area that is 99.5% Islam. All students are planting churches, growing disciples and serving others by God’s abundant grace. Pray for these students as they continue to be Great Commission focused leaders and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
