Please join in giving thanks that two sisters in Christ from the Limi people in southern China, an unreached people group, were baptized this summer at Brother Mao’s tea house. It was a joyful moment of public witness to their new life in Jesus. Originally, four sisters had planned to be baptized, but due to work obligations, two had to postpone until the spring. Let us praise God for the faith and courage of those who took this step and ask Him to continue strengthening them as they grow in Christ. Pray also for the two who are waiting baptism, that their anticipation would deepen their desire to follow Jesus and that the Lord would keep their faith steadfast. “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16 ESV). While baptism itself does not save, it is a vital step in the life of many believers, often marked by opposition as they publicly proclaim their allegiance to Jesus, the Most High God. May the Lord continue to draw many among the Limi to salvation.
