Jewish Diaspora Worldwide

(die-AS-puh-ruh) – The month of December ushers in many holidays, specifically Hanukkah for Jewish people worldwide. As they come together to celebrate the “Festival of Lights” over eight days, pray that the prophecy found in Isaiah 9 will resonate in their minds. Pray for this Scripture to be true in their lives, that “the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone” (Isaiah 9:2 ESV). Ask that they will praise God for His faithfulness during this celebration and that they will rejoice in the light the Lord provides. Pray that they will read more of Isaiah 9 and learn about the child who is called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6 ESV). Pray for believers to celebrate God’s faithfulness and light along with their Jewish neighbors. Ask God to provide them with many opportunities to share how He has transformed their lives through the Messiah born in Bethlehem.
