Kampala, Uganda

(kahm-PAH-lah) – “Pray for Isaiah, a new Karamojong (pronounced CARE-ah-muh-jong) believer with whom the gospel has been shared for over five years,” writes a member of the Kampala Urban Team. “He recently came to faith because of persistent witnessing by one of our teammates. She is active in ministering to Karamojong people in a Kampala slum. Frequently, she takes trips to northeastern Uganda to share with this unreached people group in their home villages. Isaiah is in line to be the next head elder of his village. He could have a powerful impact on the people of his village if the gospel seed has fallen on healthy soil (Matthew 13:1-9). Pray for it to multiply 30, 60, and a hundredfold. Pray that other local believers will walk alongside him and disciple him deeply and intentionally. Pray that Isaiah’s profession of faith will be genuine and that his faith will be nurtured and bear fruit.”
