Kurmanji Kurds of Central Asia

(ker-MAHN-gee) – Praise the Father for answered prayer! In January, you were asked to pray for some families who were attending a Bible study. After months of studying what it means to be a healthy church, this small group of believers covenanted together to form a Kurmanji-speaking church. Two of the founding members, Alan and Diane, were baptized the same week, in obedience to Jesus’ command. Several other believing guests, two unbelieving guests, and the new church members went on a picnic to celebrate the baptism in the open water. Local people witnessed the event, and the church members prayed that everyone who saw the baptism would one day know salvation through Christ. May these Kurmanji believers be a great witness among the people where they live!
