Missionary explorer Emmie Johnston writes: “After going to a beach area, my ministry partner and I asked God to show us who He wanted us to speak to. We saw a Hindu woman sitting by herself while her daughter played in the waves, so we sat with her and started talking. We learned about her life, that she was struggling in her marriage and had tried different gods for hope. We shared with her about the hope found in Jesus alone and prayed with her. She wanted to know about Jesus and how she could pray to Him herself! We encouraged her that He is not far away and she can pray anywhere at any time! We followed up with her again, and she had stopped listening to Hindu broadcasts, was praying on her lunch breaks, and is seeing changes in her marriage. She really wants to know Jesus but is still holding back. Please pray for Jiya to trust Jesus not only for help but as her Savior and Lord! Please pray for wisdom as we follow up with her in the next few days.”
