Mongolian Peoples of Outer Mongolia and Russia

(mon-GOHL-yun) – Operation Christmas Child has been sending Christmas shoeboxes to Mongolia for about 30 years. This year, about 67,000 gift boxes will arrive in January for 3,000 volunteers to give out all over the country until the end of March. At each distribution site, before the presents are passed out, someone shares with the children and their parents about the best gift ever given–the gift of Jesus. Then the children, ages 2 to 14, receive a gift box and a gospel booklet. Afterwards, the older children are invited to attend a 13-lesson discipleship course. Please ask God to direct and give wisdom to each team as they distribute the gifts and follow up with the children. Ask that God will bring many children and parents to saving faith in Jesus. Pray that He will put a desire in many children’s hearts to attend the discipleship lessons and keep away anything that would prevent them from attending.
