(NAH-goh-yah) – “Scattered throughout our city are many Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines,” a missionary said. “These temples and shrines saturate our city. There are always people visiting these places to worship false gods. Recently, I visited a part of town I had been to before. However, I had never noticed this hill that had many beautiful trees. After climbing up to the top, I discovered on the other side there was, yet another huge temple filled with people worshiping false gods. Please pray that this year, many people in our city will know the Living God who can take away their sins. Pray for God to rescue them from the darkness and bring them into His light. Ask that, this year, temples and shrines will close, and many churches will be planted in our city for God’s glory. “Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name’s sake!” (Psalm 79:9 ESV).
