Although usually very wary about sharing her inmost thoughts with others, Asha told her Christian friend that she often wonders about the value of the traditions and teachings she’s heard all her life. Asha has noticed that they haven’t seemed to bring much joy or comfort to her so far. Recently, her friend who was moving away gifted Asha a Bible. That friend always had an encouraging word for her and shared not only how much she cared for Asha, but how God cared, as well! The friend spoke about prayer like an ongoing, intimate conversation with Someone who truly sees and listens. Asha wonders if reading the book would help her to better understand the things her friend shared with her. Pray that Asha will commit to reading the Bible and that she will learn more about how she might have a relationship with the Father like her friend does. Though she was sad to say goodbye to one friend, pray that Asha will be open to other believers that the Lord puts across her path who will continue to share the gospel with her.
