Osaka, Japan

(OH-sah-kah) – Over the past couple years, we have asked you to pray for language exchange activities at our partner churches and also for the activities we hold in our team office. Here are some updates: During the last language exchange of the year at one of our partner churches, 19 Japanese came, four of whom were not believers. One Japanese man had a deep conversation with a few ministry team members. They feel he is close to believing. Pray for his salvation and the salvation of his whole family. A Japanese woman continues to join the activities and always brings her unsaved friends. Pray for this person of peace (Luke 10) to be saved and for her to then share the gospel with the friends she invites to the exchange gatherings. One man in his early 30s came for the first time. Pray he continues to join and finds hope in Jesus. An older gentleman got into a long discussion with a missionary and a Japanese pastor about what pastors and missionaries do. They shared that the main thing they do is share about Jesus so people like him can follow Jesus. Pray for him to do that! Pray not only for the participants to be saved but also pray for the church members who help in this ministry to grow in their awareness of the need to evangelize and in their ability to articulate the gospel to their fellow Japanese.
