“During a recent church service,” writes a Ghana Team member, “our pastor preached on Jesus being our great High Priest whose completed work for our salvation brings us to perfection. He also talked about those here in Ghana who profess to be Christians but who continue to practice African traditional religion. They attend church on Sunday, but other days, they may still visit local fetish priests and offer sacrifices to try to bring about good results in their lives. They do not fully understand who Jesus is, what He did for our salvation, and that He alone is worthy of our trust and faith. Please pray for those that are trying to mix the religions to realize that they cannot trust in both. Ask the Lord to convict them of their need to fully abandon the traditional religious practices and put their faith in Christ alone.”
