(pun-JAH-bees) – Fewer than 1% of the more than 110 million people who live in Punjab province in Pakistan consider themselves to be Christian. Of that 1%, many are Christian in name only and not by conviction. Ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit on Punjab province, and pray that millions of Punjabis will come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, putting their whole faith and trust in Him. Pray for the believers living in the interior of the province. Ask the Lord to lead those believers not only to be faithful in sharing their faith in Christ with their Muslim-majority community neighbors and friends, but also to disciple new believers. Pray that they will be bold in their gospel-sharing efforts and see much fruit from all their labors for God’s kingdom. “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV).
