(pun-JAH-bees) – Please pray for the Muslim women in Pakistan who want to follow Christ. These women face immense familial and societal pressure to stay in Islam and not become Christians. Their families and communities actively try to discourage them from being baptized and meeting with believers for discipleship. Some of the discouragement is physical. Pray that these women will not allow the trials of this world or the societal pressures to keep then from living free in Christ! Ask that they will know that following Christ is worth it all, and pray that they will be focused on the eternal and not the temporary afflictions that they face. “So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18 CSB).
