(pun-JAH-bees) – There are many disillusioned people all over the world, people who have been born into a religion that expects so much from its followers and yet gives so little in return for their devotion. Recently, a group of 10 men gathered together in Pakistan to hear more about Jesus from a believer. They are interested in Christianity and have expressed a desire to follow Christ. However, these men fear what their community might do to them if they do accept Christ as Lord and Savior and denounce Islam. Please be praying for these men. Ask that they will receive a spirit of courage and not one of fear. Pray that they will be brave enough to follow through with baptism and not be fearful of their community. Ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit upon the Punjabi people of Pakistan, drawing many to Himself! “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb” (Revelation 7:9 ESV).
