(sow toh-MAY ee PRIHN-sih-pih) – Pastor Tiago, leader of the Baptist Convention of São Tomé e Príncipe, asks you to pray for followers of Jesus in his country to remember the admonition that the Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Galatia: “For freedom, Christ set us free. Stand firm, then, and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1 CSB). Pray for those in Saotomense churches who have experienced salvation through Christ Jesus to remember that He has freed them from sin and guilt and from the hold of former practices such as ancestor worship and sexual immorality. Pray that they will trust in God’s truth that “there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:1-2 CSB).
