Some Turkmen believers want to learn more about evangelism to strangers and are challenged by the idea of sharing with their own countrymen whom they see as they move throughout the city. Over 1 million Turkmen live in Istanbul, but very few of them have been reached with the good news. Realizing that they have very little time to make a connection, one Turkmen believer said that he wanted to begin talking with a stranger, whom he could tell was from his home country, by saying, “Hi, I am also from your country. I have hope in my life now. Would you like to hear my story?” Pray for Turkmen who live in Istanbul to be reached with the gospel. Pray that believers from Turkmenistan and from other former Soviet countries will boldly share with their own people group while living in Istanbul.
