(TAH-jeeks) – Soli Nav, or New Year, is widely celebrated in Tajikistan! There are concerts, lights, and fireworks, and families and friends gather with one another to welcome the coming of a new year. Some Tajiks are filled with optimism and hope of what this new year could hold for them while others feel stuck and discouraged at yet another year in which they expect nothing to get better for them. Pray for Tajik believers to be bold to share the hope and peace that Jesus offers and to cling steadfastly to those truths. Pray for Tajiks who are not believers, asking that God will do a work in their lives this year and draw them to Himself. Pray for a movement among Tajiks in which many will come to hear and know the good news of Jesus Christ, who came for them and who sees them and loves them!
