Theological Education in Tanzania

“And they were bringing children to Him so that He would touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Allow the children to come to Me; do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these (Mark 10:13-14 NASB). “It’s said among the Maasai (pronounced MAH-sigh) people, that the father of a household will first allow his children to attend worship and begin learning God’s Word, and then he’ll allow his wife or wives to go, and then he himself may consider going. In this area of Tanzania, a young Baptist couple from an East European country are proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ to Maasai children. They work with pastors of local Baptist churches to teach children about Jesus. Each month, the number of children increases as they come to sing, listen to God’s Word, and play simple games. Ask God to draw the tender hearts of these children to Jesus, and pray that one by one, they’ll believe in Him as Lord and Savior. Pray, also, that the mothers and fathers will be drawn to Him and that entire families will be saved.”
