The Seba, population 167,000, live in the southeastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Like the people groups surrounding them, they predominantly practice African traditional religion. It is difficult to pinpoint the exact location where the Seba live. Although Christian work is happening among other people groups in the general area, the IMB does not know if anyone is actively sharing the gospel among the Seba. Preliminary research indicates there are no Bible translations, gospel recordings or “JESUS” film in their language. Further research is needed to learn more about the Seba and their access to the gospel.
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.” (Deuteronomy 7:9)
